Bartson Fabrics Incorporated was founded in 1917
as Albert J. Bartson Fabrics when Albert J. Bartson founded a textile mill in
Paterson, New Jersey. In 1923, a new mill was built in Midland Park, New
Jersey. During World War II, Bartson Fabrics supplied the United States
Army with Cotton Duck, which necessitated the addition of a weaving facility in
Charlotte, North Carolina. To meet demand, production was moved from the
Charlotte, North Carolina mill to a custom built mill in Lavonia, Georgia in
1949. This facility was sold in 1962 as Albert J. Bartson Fabrics had
shifted its focus to the importation and distribution of fabrics from Europe and
Asia. Reflecting this shift in business activity, the company's name was
changed to Bartson Fabrics Incorporated. The company, now employing a
fourth generation, continues to operate its main office from the Midland Park,
New Jersey facility.
Though we now concentrate specifically on the importation and distribution of fine textiles from around the world, our goal has remained the same. We will continue to provide high quality goods and service. Your complete satisfaction is our goal.
If your company is looking to enter the textile market in the United States, Bartson Fabrics Incorporated would be happy to provide assistance.
